The 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change will be held on November 11-22, 2024, in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Under the theme ‘In Solidarity for a Green World’, AIIB looks forward to contributing to the agenda of the COP29 Presidency.

From Nov. 30-Dec. 10, AIIB held a series of COP28 side events at the AIIB Pavilion which provided a platform to engage AIIB Members and partners in meaningful discussions around inclusive and innovative climate solutions.

Partnerships in Innovative Climate Financing

In line with its Corporate Strategy, AIIB is actively exploring these creative financing solutions to meet the urgent need for sustainable funding. This session will convene leaders in the field of innovative financing to tackle the challenges faced by multilateral development banks (MDBs) and the development community in mobilizing financial resources, share success stories and discuss best practices, and examine technology’s role in improving access to finance, especially concessional financing, for sustainable projects.
