AIIB and the Our Common Air Commission (OCA) are convening leaders to strengthen international cooperation and secure stronger commitments leading up to COP30, with an emphasis on boosting infrastructure investment that promotes planetary health and addresses the interconnected challenges between health, air quality, climate, and nature.

In line with its Corporate Strategy, AIIB is actively exploring these creative financing solutions to meet the urgent need for sustainable funding. This session will convene leaders in the field of innovative financing to tackle the challenges faced by multilateral development banks (MDBs) and the development community in mobilizing financial resources, share success stories and discuss best practices, and examine technology’s role in improving access to finance, especially concessional financing, for sustainable projects.

This session will delve into the need for a systematic approach that combines innovative financing mechanisms, robust infrastructure development, and effective risk management strategies for urban development. A panel of experts from the public and private sectors will discuss the challenges and opportunities in advancing the urban resilience agenda through both investment projects and policy support.
